summer Internship Information
CWU Sponsored Internship for Specialization/Major Elective Credit
CWU and the College of Business offer special internship 490 courses (e.g., Bus 490) which count as electives towards you major. Students with past internships on their resume are typically viewed very favorably by employers as they value the experience and the signal it sends that you are a motivated student. Students like internships because they prepare them for a successful full-time job search. In fact, many students convert internships into full-time job offers. Most students take internships at the end of the junior. However, it is increasing common to see them taken at the end of the sophomore year or senior year. Advisers are required for 490 courses, and Dr. Tenerelli has offered to serve as an advisor to club members for summer 490 courses.
